MLK Night
On Monday I had the privilege of attending Igwebuike's annual MLK Night. The production was a mixture of drama, poetry, song and dance that celebrated the progress and examined the reality since Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s historic "I Have a Dream Speech." The events of the night were especially inspiring considering it fell on the eve of the inauguration of President Barack Obama.

I missed MLK night...I had to work :(
ReplyDeleteHowever, I heard that it was awesome; especially the poems about Darfur by Brenden Amechi
I had heard that it was a really great event- I was surprised that they included stuff about Darfur, but that was an excellent idea.
